Description
This class introduces the history of the blues and its role as a powerful storytelling tradition. Participants will explore the music’s origins, key styles, and influential artists, while learning how blues songs use simple structures and honest lyrics to express lived experience. The facilitator will then lead participants step by step through a simple blues songwriting activity. No prior musical or writing experience is required.
