Start your day in Utica at one of America’s oldest family-owned breweries, the 1888 Biergarten & Tavern, where you’ll take part in a VIP tour that includes a behind-the-scenes look at the brewery, a tasting in their aging cellars and ends with a complimentary pint or flight of beer. The tavern offers plenty of beverages along with a lunch menu of shareables and sandwiches to eat. Then head to the Munson for a guided tour of the Canvas to Culture: Thomas Cole’s Voyage of Life Lives On” exhibit. Enjoy some free time after the tour to explore the rest of the museum.
