Description

Alaska is a pristine land with unique landscapes and a wide diversity of animals. Instructors Len and Susan Sharp will share with participants their experiences of Denali, Glacier Bay, Kenai Fjords, Point Barrow, the Dalton Highway, the isolated Pribilof Islands, and the 1964 Good Friday earthquake/tsunami, as well as Len’s discoveries regarding the tundra and permafrost from a 1986 University of Alaska research project. This is a fast-paced lecture for the avid traveler, hiker or individual curious about Alaska—the Great Frontier.
