Ayurveda is perhaps the oldest existing health care system and Yoga’s best-kept secret. Long ago, when the population grew in India and illnesses increased, the ancient Yogis created Ayurveda, the sister science of Yoga. This system works together with the rhythms in nature to bring balance and well-being to one’s life. To this day, it is sometimes practiced along-side and as a supplement to western medicine. This class will introduce the concepts of Ayurvedic energies called Doshas and Gunas. You will have the opportunity to explore Ayurvedic attributes in yourself and then sample some self-care products. We will cover the very basics – no experience or prior knowledge necessary.
