Description
Through key images and our direct observations and experiences, we have gained firsthand knowledge of climate change from around the world including all seven continents. We will discuss new climate data and apparent increases in hurricanes, wildfires, heat waves, flooding, and droughts, and how such disasters affect health and the economy, such as rates of insurance, construction costs, and FEMA funding. What can be done to reverse the impending crisis? This course will utilize a PowerPoint presentation, videos, and activities to illustrate the relationship of climate and natural disasters upon our fragile Earth.
