Description

Over the past 50 years Len has had the opportunity to explore, camp, and hike in approximately 168 of the 432+ sites under the auspices of the National Park Service, which covers more than 85 million acres in every state, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

Yosemite National Park in California covers an area of 759,620 acres (1,187 sq mi). Join Len as he treks through Yosemite NP, internationally recognized for its granite cliffs, waterfalls, clear streams, giant sequoia groves, lakes, mountains, meadows, glaciers, and biological diversity. The second part of the lecture will concentrate on the natural wonders of the magnificent Grand Canyon, including experiences on the Bright Angel and Kaibab trails to the bottom. We’ll also cover items such as park animals, mule rides along the trails, the best view points, the Visitor Center, and history of Native Americans in the park.
