Description

Business attraction is a competitive global process, which involves patience, coordination, and consideration of factors beyond specific site characteristics.  This course will present an introduction to the site selection/business attraction process with a focus on the diverse partnerships and information required for success. The recent selection by Micron of the White Pine site in Clay, NY will serve as a case study. The instructor, Steve Eckler, has engaged in economic development over his 30+ year career at Ramboll (formerly O’Brien & Gere Engineers) and is a member of the public/private partnership that facilitated the transformational Micron deal.
