Description
This workshop focuses on re-enlivening the singing voice in the most direct way possible. Using a wide variety of approaches, from simple group singing and improvisational play, work with breath and singing exercises, exposure to techniques and traditions from various cultures around the world, to connecting with the sounds of the natural world and the primal impulse to sing, we explore the necessary balance between individual expression and group cohesion. The instructors, Iva Bittová and Timothy Hill, are international artists in a wide variety of musical contexts from folk to classical to jazz to unclassifiable. Note: this class includes a free lunch both days and free entry into the Fluttering Wings Concert. Class location will be included in registration note as it is at a member’s home in Syracuse.
