Description
This course focuses on the historical faith journey experience of the 17th century French Jesuit missionaries of the Ste Marie among the Iroquois at Onondaga Lake. Based on their primary written accounts “Relations,” the presentation will examine the interconnections between the Old World European Christianity and New World Native American spirituality. We’ll introduce the strategies, challenges, and experiences of the missionaries in their evangelistic and political ambassadorship among the Native American people.
