Description

Explore “Sweet Medicine” through the art of herbal electuaries—traditional blends of herbs and honey crafted for both wellness support and enjoyable daily ritual. In this three-week series, you’ll learn foundational electuary-making skills and create targeted blends for immune support, digestive support, and nervous system support. Each class includes guidance on safe ingredient selection, ratios, flavor balancing, labeling, storage, and simple ways to use your creations at home. Participants will leave with recipes and a make-and-take preparation each week.

Week 1: June 4 — Sweet Medicine for Immune Support

Learn the foundations of electuary-making while focusing on supportive herbs traditionally used during times of seasonal challenge. We’ll cover basic safety considerations, how to choose herbs for immune support, and how to balance flavor, texture, and function in a honey-based preparation. Participants will create an immune-support electuary to take home, learn proper labeling and storage, and receive a recipe card with customization ideas.

Week 2: June 11 — Sweet Medicine for Digestive Support

This week focuses on electuaries that support digestive comfort. We’ll explore herbs commonly used for digestive ease, discuss timing and simple use practices, and learn how to balance warming, aromatic, and soothing ingredients for both taste and purpose. Participants will make a digestive-support electuary to take home and receive a guide for adjusting recipes based on individual needs and preferences.

Week 3: June 18 — Sweet Medicine for Nervous System Support

Create a calming electuary designed to support the nervous system and encourage steadiness and relaxation.
