Participants will review and practice the forms presented in Tai Chi for Arthritis Levels 1 & 2. We’ll explore the history of Tai Chi, the five styles of Tai Chi and learn the principles behind this ancient martial art. We’ll enhance our skills and knowledge to gain a deeper understanding of the benefits for the mind, body and spirit as well as apply the Tai Chi movements to everyday life applications. Lastly, we’ll introduce the Ying Yang philosophy and it’s application to Tai Chi, and introduce Qigong, a Chinese system of physical exercises and breathing control related to Tai Chi. Prerequisite: completion of Tai Chi Levels 1 & 2. No class: 5/30, 6/20 & 7/4.
