Description
Religion plays an important role in how a nation views its wars. After the Civil War, the United States embarked on wars of “manifest destiny” and assumed increasingly international role in the 20th century. Since the 1950s, its conflicts have been more complex and more controversial. This course examines that progression of the national ethos after leaving Afghanistan and contending with the current military strife and how diverse religious influences continue to influence military mindsets.
