Ayurveda is perhaps the oldest existing healthcare system and Yoga’s best-kept secret. Long ago, when population grew in India and illnesses increased, the ancient Yogis created Ayurveda, the sister science of Yoga. This system works together with the rhythms in nature to bring balance and well-being to one’s life. To this day, it is sometimes practiced along-side and as a supplement to western medicine. This class will introduce the concepts of Ayurvedic energies called the doshas and the gunas. You will have the opportunity to explore Ayurvedic attributes in yourself. We will cover the very basics – no experience or prior knowledge necessary.
