Description
The World Happiness Report is a publication of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. It contains rankings and analysis of national happiness, based on people’s ratings of their own lives as compared to numerous life factors. This year’s report focuses on the effects of COVID-19 on happiness and how countries have differed in their success in reducing the deaths and maintaining connected and healthy societies. This class will examine the history of national happiness studies, review the 2019 findings and flesh out what factors have made us happier or caused a rise in unhappiness and misery on a national level.
