The cathedrals around northern France are much more than great architectural wonders. They house fabulous windows, great art, fascinating artifacts and each has a unique and interesting history of its own. In this class we will ring Paris visiting some of the iconic cathedrals including Reims, Amiens, and Chartres as well as some of the lesser knowns such as Beauvais, Laon and Bayeux. We will end at Notre Dame just days before the devastating fire of April 2019. Each of these great structures has a story to tell. Come to listen, learn and have some fun as we explore the astounding world of French Gothic Cathedrals.
