Description
A handful of basic Yoga poses will be presented in this informal, workshop-style session. Learn the origin of each pose as we touch on ancient Yogic mythology–the stories told long ago. Explore the nuances: the mind‐body, and postural awarenesses, and common challenges associated with each pose. Experience “doing” the poses as Yvonne breaks down “how to” while building from the easiest to the more complex variations. Yoga props will be used to show how the poses can be more accessible. A handout will be provided of the presentation including a “sample” Yoga practice adapted for each pose. Level: Beginner/Intermediate. Please dress comfortably and bring a Yoga mat. Blocks & ties will be available onsite–feel free to bring your own.
