Description

Clark Reservation State Park is a geologic wonder of the last ice age and a biologist’s paradise. The park’s natural features include rugged cliffs and rocky outcrops, woodland and meadow, a wetland and a glacial plunge basin lake in which the surface waters and bottom waters do not mix. Imagine massive amounts of water cascading over the fall’s lip, near the height of Niagara Falls circa 12,000 years ago carving out a magnificent plunge pool that we now call Glacial Lake. Len will share his 54-year association with Clark SP through graduate work, family outings, field trips for high school students as well as conducting field experiences for colleges and local gem and mineral clubs.
