Have you heard of America 250? It is simply the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the United States of America, which resulted in our independence from English rule. The goal of this program is to provide a timeline of selected events from 1767 that led up to the start of the Revolutionary War (1775) at Lexington and Concord; Declaration of Independence (1776); Battle of Yorktown (1781); and the signing of the Constitution (1789) and inauguration of George Washington (1789) as the new nation’s first President. A timeline handout will serve as a guide for participants.
