Description

This course is designed for people who have some knowledge of Spanish or have taken Spanish 1 during the fall 2022 trimester. This is not a beginning course. Students should be familiar with basic vocabulary, greetings, and some general grammar concepts. In addition, participants need to have a working knowledge of regular and irregular verb conjugations in the present, past and future tenses. Participants will be expected to speak Spanish as much as possible and will be using the text, No Nonsense Spanish Workbook by Caitlin H. Cuneo. In this class, all four language abilities will be touched upon: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Materials for this class will come from the text, websites and teacher generated worksheets. Small group discussions will give the students an opportunity to use their acquired vocabulary. During this trimester, a new tense will be introduced as well as ample review of past materials. In addition to the text, a three-ring binder and a Spanish-English dictionary are recommended.
