Description

The conventional wisdom pertaining to the history of the Jewish people asserts that the Romans dispersed Judeans throughout their empire following the destruction of the Second Temple. From there, they became minorities in numerous countries of the known world. In 1948, Israel again became a sovereign nation and many Jews returned to their ancestral homeland. This lecture, based on archaeology, anthropology, and history, will examine an alternate view to this conventional wisdom and explore the ethnic origins of the Jewish people living today.
