Description

Established in 2006, the Wolf Mountain Nature Center is home to over two dozen wild canids including Gray and Artic wolves, Eastern coyotes, and Red, Gray and Arctic foxes. An Animal Care Specialist will take us on a private, guided hike on the 70 acre property where we’ll see and learn about these beautiful animals, their diets, habitats, natural behaviors, and roles in maintaining a healthy, balanced ecosystem. If we’re lucky, we may also catch a glimpse of nesting bald eagles, a red tailed hawk or the myriad of other resident birds. Other offerings at the center include forested hiking trails, picnic tables and a wolf-themed gift shop that are free to explore on your own after our guided tour. Note: trails and walkways are not paved. They are grassy and may contain some uneven terrain. You will meet at the Wolf Mountain Nature Center located at 562 Hopkins Crandall Rd., Smyrna. Transportation is not provided. If you are interested in carpooling you may meet at Oasis at 10:45 am to join fellow carpoolers, though not guaranteed.
